Why are some people more prone to bad breath from foods than others?

I’ve always noticed that msot people can eat spicy curries rich in garlic and onions everyday but not get bad breath or halitosis like i do!

how come my breath is more affected by the foods i eat? i eat curry everyday. what shall i eat instead?
even after i floss and brush, the bad breath still stays! does the onion and garlic stay in my system?

do you have some sort of gum disease? because bad breath a lot of times is caused by some kind of disease in the gums. like some one else said, if you like curry keep eating it. but maybe you should go your dentist to find out what the cause of your smelly breath is. just make sure that brush and floss your teeth everyday. keep your mouth hydrated by drinking a lot of water.

If you love curry, keep eating curry.. just make sure to brush your teeth AND tongue, after you eat. The tongue holds most of your bad breath.

Halitosis (bad breath) is caused by cells in your mouth that decompose food. You just have a lot more of this type of cell. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to stop it before it happens.

Eat food that has less flavoring and you won’t have halitosis as bad as you do. Or eat mints, chew gum, use mouthwash, etc. after you eat curry or other flavorful foods.
