    Hi Slobber, Yeag …
Hi Slobber, Yeag B27 is a gene which can be tested for in the blood (HLA-B27)..the significance is that many with RA have this gene and its related to other nasties we (B27+) can get.
My symptoms my Doc believes is B27+ related..though Im not sure.!
Yeah Biotene is much less abrasive, which is why I still use the normal toothpaste first for a good clean and then bitoene for its antibacterial properties..which is good for nighttime..with a dry mouth.

    Cheers

I’ve got some Biotene and it seems pretty good although a weird texture to adapt to after regular toothpaste. What kind of Neuro problems do you have? Is it related to SS? I’m not sure about B27+ and what that means. Is that something that shows up in blood tests? I’m in the 25-35 age group. Cheers.

Yeah Biotene is good for bacteria build up especially during night..its less abrasive than regular. Funny Ive just started on plaq..though they reckon it wont work on me..go figure..They have not given me anything for the Neuro symptoms yet..I dont think they are sure what is causing them so watch n wait. Hope you dont mind me asking..are you B27+ and what age range are you?
    Cheers

Heh heh!! I guess not drooling in your sleep can be seen as a positive with this condition ;-) I use NeutraFluor 5000 plus toothpaste by colgate every second day and regular toothpaste otherwise. I might try out Biotene too. For RA, I take Plaquenil, Sulfasalazine and Prednisalone. Hopefully I can cut down on meds once the swelling and joint pain subsides. Slowly getting back on track. What’s your other condition and how do you control it? Cheers.

Glad the video’s were useful..yeah when I first got these symtpoms I thought I was on my own..yet as you find out there are lots of us..yet all unique…I dont eat much citrus..I use now 2 types of toothpaste at each brushing..one enamel helping toothpaste the other biotene.
Thanks for asking.Ive got my dryness under control now..but the neuro and body pain symptoms are more the challenge now..what are taking for your RA ? Cheers

    Hi Ron! I was …
Hi Ron! I was diagnosed with Rhuematoid Arthritis and Sjogren’s about 4 months ago. I found your videos very informative and it’s good to know I’m not alone with autoimmune diseases. I also think milk, lots of sips of water and chewy help. My dentist said to avoid sugary foods/drinks, coffee and acidic foods (eg. citrus fruits) have you heard the same? Keep up the videos and I hope you’re getting along comfortably these days. I’d like to find the saliva making pills in Aus too! Cheers.

Im no Ophthal but..it could be your eyes are either slightly allergic or that they have some abrasions that the theratears are aggravating
I know theratears is known as a mild drop…so perhaps it’s best if you follow this up with your Ophthal.
    All my best

    Hi BillyDude..Yeah …
Hi BillyDude..Yeah no ..theratears has never caused stinging…I find it is very soothing…Ive tried other drops that do sting….now why it stings with you is a bit confusing..do you put heaps in like drench the eye?..thats what I do..I make sure I put a lot in…and then the good effect lasts longer…..Ive continued this reply on..see next post..

Hi Ron…hope you are well. The dry eye thing wasn’t earler my biggest problem but it now is. I just bought some Thera Tears. It makes my eyes sting for awhile when I first put drops in. Does it do that to you. I feel like I’ve just cut up some onions right after I put the drops in.
