Maybe you were sleeping with ur mouth open. LOL But may be ur adnoids or tonsils blocking ur breathing passage...Thats what I notice causes ppl to breathe from their mouths besides when they have a cold/stuffy nose.

Your body dehydrates when you drink alcohol, making you feel thirsty, yet depleates the mouth of salvia. the mayo clinic calls it xerostoma-from the greek term xeros(meaning dry) and stoma(meaning mouth). I think cottonmouth is an old dry term, but not correct.

Cotton mouth (Xerostomia). Happens when you are loaded on sugar. Alchohol is loaded with sugar/breaks fown into sugar, hence, your experience makes sense.
