What’s a drink that will lubricate a dry mouth?

I have a lateral lisp that’s not usually very noticeable, but when I’m nervous I get a very dry mouth and I start lithping all over the place. Does anyone know a good drink that will lubricate and coat the inside of my mouth so the words come out normally?

Water doesn’t cut it, I think it’s too thin. I’m thinking maybe something syrupy might work, anyone have any ideas?

Perhaps try carrying sour hard candies with you.
Pop one in your mouth when the dryness starts.
It will get your salivary glands going.

Lemonade maybe, or hot tea with honey?

Tea (come on, who doesn’t like tea?) . Normally hot water does it though, hot water usually lubricates things.

    If not…erm…uhmm….milk?

I think maybe a piece of candy in your mouth would do the trick. The hard long lasting little candies like peppermint, jolly ranchers, butterscotch, lemon heads something like that.
There is not a liquid that is going to stay in your mouth, everytime you swallow you will loose it…
