How do you cure chronic halitosis that stinks up entire house?

I have periodontal disease and despite the dental cleanings. Nothing has cured the bad breath problem. It is very offensive. I don’t even have to open my mouth. It will stink up the entire room. It smells like a rotten egg sulfer smell odor. It is very depressing!!

Note to self:

Do not go to Bonnie’s house for any reason whatsoever.

phew, yaa that’s a problem. Sounds like you’ve started to correct it by going to the dentist. Have you been told that it takes 24 hr.s for the bacteria to start accumulating in your mouth? So, you need to get a rotating electric brush and use it every day, some come with a scraper to scrape the tongue, get a water pick, to get down under the gums and between the teeth, use at least twice/week. Floss daily, and use a mouth wash that fights plaque and germs, at least daily, more initially. This procedure also helps correct gum disease.
Soon you’ll be happy around people and people will like to be around you. I take it you are seeing a dental hygienist to assist you in your gum care and treatment.

Have you tried going to the periodontist? If having your teeth cleaned has not helped your halitosis even just a little bit, then there might be an underlying problem. You might have to change your diet and might have problems with your digestion / digestive tract. You should go see a medical practitioner about that.

You can also gargle with warm salt water or mouthwash with chlorhexidine as its ingredient. Use it in the morning and in the evening for 5days.

brush and floss after each meal. Use mouthwash and eat yogurt once a day it reduce hydrogen sulfide, one of the sulfur compounds responsible for the foul odor of bad breath (halitosis), Good luck
