Would it be rude to approach the professor about a fellow classmates chronic halitosis?

This woman has not brushed her teeth since the course started, and it is sooo bad. I have moved my seat three rows over, and I can STILL smell it. People are literally bringing jackets to cover their noses with.

Before you ask, we have already TOLD her numerous times about her breath. She is perfectly healthy, don’t worry, I asked. So an illness is out of the question as the cause.

I don’t think the professor can do anything about it, so telling her/him will probably not do anything.

Have you tried offering her a breath mint?

maybe there is nothing she can do about it i knew a girl that had very bad breath but it was because she had no dental insurance and she had an infection it may not be because she doesn’t brush her teeth. i suggest talking to her about it privately and offer a few appropriate suggestions
